“A portrait of my youngest children, once a week, every week, in 2016.”
Eeeek, This is my first set of photos using a DSLR camera and although they are far from perfect, I am really pleased with the results!
I have learnt a lot, but know I have so much more to learn. The quality of the photos from a DSLR is truly amazing, and I definitely want one for my 30th in July. I think Mr T could be persuaded to buy me one beforehand, and as much as that would be amazing, I want to save the magic for my birthday. I am counting down the days already.
We had a brilliant day on Saturday meeting my gorgeous new nephew (well, my cousins son, but we practically grew up as sisters) for the first time. He is 3 weeks old and so tiny, its hard to believe that little Ava was once that small just 8 short months ago. As luck would have it, both my cousin and her husband did some photography at university and I was able to pick up some hints and tips.
This is my new favorite photo of James. We were laughing and joking, and his eyes are practically dancing! We also captured his new tooth in this photo, his first baby tooth fell out at the start of December and his new tooth is nearly as big as his others already, I can’t believe its grown so fast!
I love Lily’s wild hair on this picture. She has been growing her fringe since summer and its nearly at the length it ties back neatly or tucks behind her ears. Today she has a low french plait and her fringe escaped its clip!
I have cute Amy’s fringe recently, and it looks so much neater. This little lady is an explosion of conversation recently. We visited soft play this week and I left Ava’s door open while I opened the car boot to get her pushchair. Amy must have thought I wanted her to help because she exclaimed – “Mummy, I can’t carry her, I am too small!” I love the way she can express herself now.
This little Lady was 8 months old a few days ago. She is changing so rapidly its hard to keep up. She can sit up by herself and her fine motor skills are getting better each day, she is so full of wonder at everything she sees. She is climbing up onto her knees already so I don’t think it will be long before she decides to crawl, she has already worked out how to spin around and move backwards. This photo was taken indoors in low light, so isn’t as clear as the others.
