An old photo

This is a photo (below) of me as a child with my cousins (they are going to LOVE me for this!) I am the blonde one in the middle and I think I would have been around 6 or 7 years old.

I was raised by my grandparents, but spent many childhood hours with my cousins. My mother had multiple sclerosis and was taken into care soon after my birth. She died when I was 11 years old, but i didn’t see her much as a child. My dad asked my Grandma to look after me for a week when I was a tiny baby, I always joke that it was a LONG week as she raised me in as her own.

Big Families

I am still close to auntie, uncle and my four cousins (the youngest, who is now also the tallest, Aaron is missing from this photo) I always loved the love, laughter and togetherness that came from their big family. I found it really lonely growing up with my grandparents and I think that’s why I always wanted a big family too.

Mr T has a big family, he is one of four children, and has three sisters. History has repeated itself with our little family, we have 1 boy and three girls too!

Do you see any similarity between me as a child and my children? I think they get their looks from their Dad!

I think the girls have more of you then James does. I love that childhood picture though (me on the left) I think you got your love of matching clothes from granny too, I always remember her buying us all matching dresses. It’s always fun when people see us together and ask how were related, because were so close I always describe you as a cousin who’s more like a sister.

Do you think? Her face shape is changing as shes growing, its happening so slowly but her face is getting longer and she looks older because of it! They are all growing too fast!

Lovely photo, i’m sure your cousins won’t mind, and there is definitely similarities between your photo when you were younger and your own children.
