Novembers been a funny old month. I think its taken us until November to truly setting into our new routine of school for my eldest two and nursery for Amy.
Ava turned six months old this month, and I am so excited for the next 6 months as I know there are some huge developmental milestones ahead. Its so exciting that she is experiencing her first tastes of real food already!
I have mixed feelings about not needing some of her ‘baby’ things any more, her bouncy chair (for example) is far too small for her now. On one hand we have had baby equipment in our house for the last 7 years and part of me is really looking forward to not needed it, because honestly it does take up so much space! On the other hand, Ava is definitely our last baby and saying goodbye to all the ‘baby’ things is making me incredibly sad – I even cried when I said goodbye to my Midwife for the last time, as she cared for my and my babies in all four of my pregnancy’s.
This month we left our photo right until the last minute. We had already decided to take out photo indoors due to the miserable weather outside, but by the time we got round to it, it was dark outside, and as I’ve discovered in the last few months, I am completely rubbish at taking photos without natural light!
We nearly ended up with a photo of Amy’s red “moustache” as she managed to draw all over her face with red felt tip pen, I am completely amazed it came off so well, and equally gutted I forgot to take a picture in my rush to remove it!
I am really looking forward to advent and Christmas this year, I am counting down the days until the 18th of December when the children finish school and Mr T finishes work, then we can be together as a family for 2 full weeks until the 4th January. We are so lucky that we get to spend Christmas together and its one of my favourite times of the year just for that!
Another (unfortunately blurry) favourite!
