A Family Portrait In August {2015}

Normally while writing this post, I am truly amazed at how fast the month has flown by, but August seems to have lasted forever. It must be because we have been so busy!

We left our family picture until the bank holiday weekend, and decided to go for a nice long walk, pick some blackberries and take some photos, only we completely forgot to charge the camera battery so as we set the timer to take our first photo the battery died. We had left our mobiles at home to avoid any distractions so we didn’t even have a mobile to take a picture with! So.. our pictures this month are taken in our garden, we had to rush because it was due to rain!

This Month

We have all enjoyed August, its been a nice balance of busy and relaxing days, and we were lucky enough have Mr T’s company for the first few weeks as he was still recovering from his operation. We are a little too used to relaxing mornings, so the September school routine is going to be really hard to adjust to, although we do have a newborn baby alarm – at least we wont sleep in!

Next Month

September sees my beautiful Lily embark on her journey into reception, as her brother moves up to year 1. It also sees little Amy start nursery 2 days a week, but to be honest I am not sure if I want to send her just yet… although it would mean that I would be able to get lots of work done during the day, freeing up my evenings a little (not to mention hot coffee and bathroom trips alone) I am so used to having 4 children at home, having 1 baby at home, our house will be empty, and I’m not ready for that!
