Who am I?

Most people call me Hannah but depending on when you met me, you might call me ‘H’ (college and uni) or ‘Han’ (work) or ‘Squish’ (That’s just Mr T my husband, it’s from Finding Nemo, he says I am his Squish)

My children are 7, 5, 3 and 1 year old . Yes, We are pretty crazy! but we don’t plan on adding to our brood, much to our eldest James’ disappointment! The eldest two James and Lily are at school, my 3 year old Amy has just started preschool, and Ava is our little ‘ginger ninja’, and is fully capable of keeping me occupied at home while Amy is at preschool.

We live in a beautiful town near York, in North Yorkshire, in our little three bedroom, semi detached house which we bought in 2008. Its not very big but its our little castle and it is full of beautiful memories.

We live simply – it took us 6 years to clear our student and wedding debt, and our aim is to be mortgage free by forty. We grow food on our allotment, cook from scratch and budget carefully. When our mortgage is paid we want to renovate our house and travel with world -with our 4 not-so-little children in tow.

Before I had children I was an operations manager. I thrive on organization and I would love have my own business when the children are older, following one of my passions, web design, typography or photography.

You can read more about us on my recently updated ‘about me‘ page, which is much better laid out and much less waffley!

Hey welcome to #Blogtober16! I do remember saying four was going to be our complete family, but we now have seven! With more than the average number of children having your own business is definitely a lot easier than trying to care for them all and be part of someone elses organisation, I am looking forward to hearing more about your lovely family
